Heart rate tracking & health details
At a later stage of the onboarding process and at any time via our app settings you have the opportunity to provide your birthdate, sex, height, weight and a profile picture. This data is processed to calculate your maximum heart rate and your calorie burn, which form the basis for our heart rate tracking and point systems at BEAT81 workouts. This data is also available to our coaches and support desk agents to identify you at the workouts and to support you in case of issues with your heart rate tracking.
If you choose to use the heart rate sensors at our workouts we are also saving your heart rate (beats per minute) throughout the workout. Your heart rate is processed together with the health details to calculate your calorie burn and your BEAT, Sweat & Recovery Points. As we make your heart rate visible to you during the workout on a big screen it can also be visible to other customers for that time. You can decide to take off your heart rate sensors at any time during the workout and the tracking will immediately stop.
The heart rate data is saved in our systems and processed to provide you with information on your achievements and progress. Your achievements and progress are also visible to our coaches to provide you with personalized tips and recommendations.
Your data will be retained for as long as your profile exists and/or required for billing purposes (for example, legal retention periods). The heart rate readings, consistent of beats per minute over time collected during the workout, won't be transmitted to any third party service and is stored only in Beat81 servers. Aggregated data from these readings such as Beatpoints, calories burned or minutes working in heart rate zones can be transmitted to third parties for customer communication purposes.
